OK, I'm having a bit of a snit because I wanted to post a real cool image of four little girls eating watermelon circa 1940's with their high top brown shoes, cotton dresses and up to their pigtails in watermelon BUT it's not a jpeg or gif format, pooh. I did it in photoshop with multiple layer's to get the watermelon red and put the proper pastel washes on their very cute dresses. Now you know I may have a gift for crafting but not for computer literacy. Oh well, on to my current rant for the day or more accurately rant for the month. I love group swaps especially when everyone is putting out the best work they can muster up. No they don't have to be great or accomplished artists just willing spirits happy to follow their muse in creativity. Taking the tools of the trade and applying their own unique gift to those bits and pieces to transform them into a little work of art. The fun is in creating not in just making something/anything so you can get some better stuff back. I'm not talking about the newbie who is trying his/her wings, they should be encouraged and helped to perfect their skills also to gain the courage to put their projects out there. I am also not talking about people trying what is new to them but you know when you haven't done good work. If you wouldn't want to receive it why would you send it for someone else to receive. If it's not good enough for you don't send it. Am I the only one who feels this way?

I feel this way! But, so much so that I have not been brave enough to swap. I am new to many of the techniques, and need to test my wings first. However, when I do swap it will be my best, because I want to make someone happy! I don't want someone to be muttering less than positive things about me.
Why do you think that what you received is not their very, very best effort?
